I sent my compositions to national music competitions and was qualified to compete in the finals;
1998-Kuşadası Golden Dove Music Contest as songwriter, composer and arranger
1999 Eurovision song contest as a composer, arranger, and lyricist. I got into the top ten in Turkey qualications
2001 Eurovision song contest as a songwriter, composer, singer and an arranger
I had the opportunity to meet leading professional musicians of Turkey and they liked me a lot, I was the youngest contestant in those competitions and with the money I earned from these competitions, I bought myself the arrangement equipment.
It all started with the Korg i3 in 1992 when I was 10 years old. I was trying to make 16 track midi sequencer songs on this keyboard by step recording method. I used to spend for 12 hours a day when I was making music arrangements. I never understood how time passed. At the time, my middle school music teacher, Mrs. Melek Helvacı, discovered my talent and gave me private piano lessons. I finished the Beyer and Cherny piano methods. She also guided me in achieving my ambition and after that I decided to be a musician.
In 1995, I started studying at Istanbul Anatolian Fine Arts High School's Music Department , and I studied piano, flute, solfege and choir for a total of 4 years there, including 1 year of English preparatory class. Arrangement equipment was very expensive in the 90s and my father bought me very expensive toys like Roland s760 sampler, Akai CD3000xl sample, computer, Cubase Daw software. Mr.Semih Erdogan, the famous arranger of our country, gave me the keys to his studio so I would go to him after school. At the same time, my music teacher, Mr. Sami Öztürk, taught me a lot and supported me in this journey. I was very fortunate and everything was going well.
In 1999, when I was 17, the famous composer, Altan Çetin, offered me to arrange his compositions and we started working together. My first professional arrangement work was broadcasted across the country and I achieved a great success. The singer ''Hande Yener'' sold nearly 1 million album copies with the song `` Yalanın Batsın'' in 2000, and my arrangements were being listened to across the country such as on national radios, and TVs... After 2 years of this album, we achieved the same success with Hande Yener and she became the pop star of Turkey.
I proved myself in the music industry and many doors were opened. I had the opportunity to work with very famous singers of our country and my name has been mentioned on a lot of successful work- millions of album copies have been sold.
In 1999, I was accepted to enter the music technology department of Yıldız Technical University. I studied 1 year in English preparatory class and 1 year undergraduate music education, but my worklife was very hectic so I dropped out of school.
The song “Isyankar” sung by Mustafa Sandal won a golden record award in Germany and was listened to in many parts of Europe and Asia in 2005.
Macedonian singer Martin Vucic also listened to the song ''İsyankar'' and liked it a lot then he offered me to arrange the Makedonian Eurovision song. We competed in the Kiev 2005 Eurovision finals together, it was a great experience.
The singer of the song is named Nalan, whom I made the arrangement of ``Sana sevgilim olmu dedim”, has succeeded to rise to number 1 on the Israeli MTV list.
For 20 years, most of my time has been spent working in the studio. I have
worked with many famous singers and musicians in my Turkey , Cairo, and Vienna.
I feel that I have achieved great a success.
I also sing. I released my solo album in 2012.
